Swine flu vaccinations, will it really help out any?

I'm not a big fan of flu vaccinations in the first place. I've never had one in my life, and I don't typically get the flu. I have a healthy immune system so I've never needed to get vaccinated. Anyway, how can they be sure that the vaccinations will protect against the swin'e flu if it's so different than anything we've seen. Either it's not as big of a deal as they're (the media) making it out to be. Or the vaccinations are just some attempt to make people feel better. How can they really create a real vaccination for this, and why are they starting to require it almost everywhere?
