I need to design a light design for the play Killer Joe scene 2 for drama/......any ideas?

Colors,fade in and out is it fast or slow or anything else important.......the scene where killer joe walkin to the house and sees dottie doing kung-fu and then talks wit chris and ansel about the deal. Please givie me an idea how u w3ould make the collage.
