I NEED SERIOUS HELP PLEASEEEE (Mac Memory)?

Hey I currently own a new imac and i have only been using it for the internet and garageband. i've only downloaded 3 widgets and don't have a lot of stuff on here. this mac's gb capacity is 250gb but im already down to 15gb???? i am a mac illiterate someone please help me with this problem...
